A conference aimed at new professionals or actors who have been in the profession for a few years but want to update their CV, promote themselves better, find new opportunities and improve their applications and auditions for casting.
Abigail Longstaffe from the Mandy Network
Abigail trained at Mountview academy before working professionally as an actress on commercial tours and in the West End after which she moved into agency work representing actors across all areas of the industry. At The Mandy Network she liaises with casting directors across Commercial, TV, Film and theatre, running events and finding opportunities for actors. She regularly speaks at the leading drama schools on The Business of Acting.

Michael Woodwood Theatre Director
Michael trained at LAMDA and has worked as an actor and director for over 35 years. He has directed a variety of productions for theatres and touring companies and has also worked extensively in Theatre-in-Education and corporate training. He regularly lectures in acting at a number of institutions and festivals across Europe and is currently Permanent Foreign Lecturer at Vytautas Magnus University Opera Academy in Lithuania.
Heather Ward Artistic Director, Director’s Cut Theatre Company
Director's Cut is an adventurous, imaginative and experimental theatre company that pioneers new ways of making theatre, and supports the directors and theatre makers of the future. It is an artistic community made up of The Director’s Club, The Actor’s Club, The Writer’s Club, and The Producer’s Club. The company is supported by Southwark Playhouse, Pleasance, Theatre Royal Stratford East and Rose Kingston, and has welcomed the likes of Mike Leigh, Dominic Cooke, Stephen Unwin and Rikki Beadle-Blair to run workshops. Over the last 3 years they have helped hundreds of artists to connect, develop and create art, and have produced many events at Southwark Playhouse, St James Theatre (The Other Palace), Pleasance and Theatre Royal Stratford East.
Paul Bigley Actor
Paul trained at LAMDA and has worked extensively as an actor on stage, both in regional rep and West End, in Television including regular appearances in long running series like Sharp’s Rifles, Grange Hill, Just a Gigolo, Midsommer Murders, Lewis, Tabooand many commercials. Paul has also made a number of appearances in Film such as Shakespeare in Love, Shackelton and The Danish Girl.
